No, that’s just plain ignorant and stupid, but consider who posted it. Par for the course.

The reality is, we live in a world where what use to be unimaginable is now possible. While I am pro gun, if he wasn't able to buy an AR15 until he was 21 this wouldn't have happened. How can someone not be allowed to purchase a hand gun until they are 21, but can purchase an AR15 at 18.

He had a handgun as well as a rifle.

At 18 you should be able to buy a gun to protect themselves, but instead you have to wait until you are 21, but if you want a high powered rifle that has so much power you can't even hunt with it

In many states you can’t hunt with an AR-15 because the caliber is too small and weak to ethically kill a dear without excellent shot placement.

But nothing will change and because of that we just have to accept when these things happen.

Gun laws aren’t going to prevent most incidents like this, If you’re willing to mass murder people, you will find a way to get the weapons to do it. It’s also obvious you can’t arrest people for crimes they haven’t committed yet, it’s all about deterring these crimes from occurring at schools and responding more effectively if they do.
1.) No security at the school was a failure.
2.) Unlocked doors was a failure.
3.) Police where there in 4 minutes but let him kill people for over a hour! This was an embarrassment, an epic failure, and every police officer who failed to go in to stop him should immediately be terminated and blacklisted at every law enforcement division in the country. The Chief of Police/Sheriff should be terminated or recalled because in the end they are responsible for training and tactics.

Should always be locked, no matter what. My daughters school in Slidell, you have to press the button and tell who you are before getting in. Yeah I get they can probably just shoot down a window but it feels more safe then this shitshow.

This is how my kids school was to and it seems to me it would be well worth the expense to install security doors and windows to make it difficult for someone like that to get into the building.

Of course no security measure is going to work if it's not implemented or practiced correctly.
