There are two kinds of people in the world

You need to check your attitude at the door. I’m gonna break down a really simple principle but it is amazingly versatile and can be rather complex if you peel back the layers.

There are two kinds of people in the world. Let’s start with that. It may be tempting to assign multiple or dozens of kinds of people, but you would be wrong. There are two kinds as a metaphor and logical device.

Sure the variations are there. Sure the degrees are ranging but basically it is a binary option.

Now the fun begins. Tell us what two kinds of people there are in the world. Surely there are more than two? Gender wise? Color wise? Socio-economic wise?

There are still only two. There are people who want to be right more than anything and then there are those who want to be accepted more than anything. Which type are you?

An easy test is that if you want to be right more than anything, you do not mind criticism at all. Why? Because it helps you target a weakness and fix it. Since you want to be right, finding out where you are wrong helps fix a mistake.

If you are willing to bend/break the rules to help someone out you are the later. Also, if it is hard for you to say no then that’s you.
