NASA claims that the martian atmosphere left about 3 billion years ago, but hey, you never know.

I don't think "Martians" did anything. I think some extraterrestials from outside our solar system did. They could not transport large equipment through space, so it is not unreasonable that they would use some of the tools that were available. We couldn't haul a bulldozer to another planet, so if we found one with life, we would have to use what they had, applying our techno know how.
I guarantee you (and most people don't dispute this) the Egyptians and Aztecs had help. No doubt.

I didn't say 5000 years ago - I said that life on Mars predated life on earth, and it easily could have been a billion years ago or more.

So these aliens were just lending bodies to the job, no advanced technology or anything like that? Kind of an interplanetary "they look like they could use a hand" sort of thing?

I think you should step away from the computer now - these terms "100%" and "proof" - instead of sounding smart, they're making you sound like something other than smart.
The Egyptians were some of the earliest users of stone in construction. The pyramid shape is not complex engineering - at all - now, the abilities demonstrated to hew and move stone, put them all in place, and the incredible fit and finish of each stone ARE all impressive accomplishments - particularly when you consider the tooling and basic construction knowledge of the time - but the best evidence we have is that "human beings" constructed the pyramids as tombs for and edifices to the memory of various kings and queens.
We have the archeological remains of the camps used by the builders.

You aren't understanding for some reason. There were people in Egypt - somewhat primitive but they had a lot of manpower.
For unknown reasons, pyramids had some importance to space travelers. They arrive in Egypt. They did not "lend bodies" - they provided knowledge and, using that knowledge, the Egyptians built the pyramids.
Here's an analogy: You go back to 1400 with nothing but your clothes. You could teach the inhabitants of earth at that time about electricity even though you didn't bring any electrical gear with you. You could probably devise a primitive source of firearm. There is a ton of stuff you co8uld teach them.

Fair enough, if I'm in a James Cameron movie, I wouldn't even have clothes -
But, in this hypothetical you're posing - one is not traveling through time - but across vast expanses of space. Presumably in a spacecraft that is sophisticated enough to make such a journey.
