I don’t think anyone called you retarded. I do however believe you lack the understanding that not everyone can be you and statistically will never be like you in current environment.

So if you want to pound your chest for being different then go right on ahead. It doesn’t change anything on this topic at hand.

Eating out is what kills the majority of people along with their car note. But because of the people who raised these kids all are entitled to the new Lexus SUV or Land Cruiser etc.

A lot of the problem we are having is because parents never taught their kids about finance.

Besides our Lord and Saviour my father teaching about finance was the most important knowledge I’ve ever obtained and most of it is from the Bible.

I've always been cheap and thankfully make a nice living so we've been fine. I got that from my dad.

He was college educated back when that almost guaranteed you a nice living. I always wondered why he drove 10-15 year old vehicles and why we lived in such a modest home. Now I know

So older people that have worked their whole life, saved, and are looking to move out of leftist “utopias” are bad.

My dad drove a 1991 Toyota Corolla until I was old enough to drive 2002.. He is now 63 and drives a 13-14 year old Acadia with hitch on the back to pull around his lawn mowing equipment. The inside is an absolute wreck, my mom won’t even ride in it anymore lol.

The nicest car we had growing up was a brand spanking new Chevy Astro van with the sliding door. I’m fairly certain that besides the cost and the practicality of the vehicle my dad bought it because he loves the Houston Astros.

That’s because young people nowadays don’t want a wood-frame house with two bedrooms. Most of my young friends aren’t satisfied with anything costing less than $425K.

That's bullshite and you're an idiot if you believe it.

In a small market, a starter home is 1400 square feet and starts at $300-400k.

Oh, it'll go to young people alright.

Young illegal immigrants.

You're a fricking worthless person from a worthless generation.

Most of them want a more feudal system. They don't want people who don't own homes to be allowed to vote.

This could be said for any point in history. And yet somehow there are people in their early 20s and 30s starting businesses and being extremely successful in said environment. Hell, my sister is 31 and is a teacher. Somehow her and her husband afforded to build and buy a new starter home. They chose to live in a rural area where COL is cheap. You can discount it all you want, but suggesting a whole generation is fricked and has no chance at having the same success as prior generations is victim bullshite.

Odd, my daughter (no pics) and sil, both mid 20s, had no problems buying a nice home in Houston 3 years ago. My nephew who is early 20s just bought himself a house with his girlfriend in Orange Beach. Most of their friends own homes. Most are doing better than wife (no pics) and I at their age.

So you think a couple of anecdotal exceptions refutes a statistical trend?

You have low IQ.

I sold a 1,300 square foot house in an OK neighborhood for $160k two years ago. Maybe it is $190k now if I had to guess.
