John Hope and then Steve Lyons were the best in the business but the weather channel doesn’t hire no-nonsense business people like that anymore. Rick Knabb is such a drama queen.

He left TWC to be the NHC admin I believe under Obama, went back to TWC after that. Smart guy, good person.
