I just got an email about how they will be extending driver incentives due to overwhelming demand.

Doesn't suprise me at all. Was downtown over weekend for first time in long time and ran into a few people that took it downtown.

Was a little harder getting one back at 1:30am but we found one. I'm sure it won't be a problem at all in the coming months with added drivers.

I've been promoting the hell out of it to friends as well.

BR airport is a no pickup zone for Uber. We can't pickup there but we can drop off.

The reason is this. To pick up at the airport you have to be legally registered. To sit and wait at the airport you have to go through another background screening. After you are approved and all your LEGAL documentation has been presented and approved, they will issue you a permit. UBER has none of this nor do the people doing it.

People were skeptical at first. Now a lot of drivers are signing up but the process can take a week or so. 2 different background checks and you have to attend a training. You can't sign up overnight.

It's funny how they keep spewing shite out of both sides of their mouths.

"You'll get raped because any Nazi can be an uber driver"

"If it's so great why don't they have hundreds of drivers the first week?"

Gamedays will also be a tough day to get Uber, but I still think some people would do it.

I'll be on campus in my F-250 on gamedays. I can carry all your tailgate gear in my truck right to your front door. Find me a cab that does that.

Same reason why I think YC will end up being an airport service. They work fine if they are lined up waiting. It's getting the cab to you that is impossible.

Thats a lot of words when only three would suffice:

Seeing that Uber isn't allowed to sit at the airport, they aren't doing anything illegal in that specific situation.

Still no reason to talk shite about Uber. It will let us know what they can or can't do beforehand. It will give the consumer another option which is good for free trade.

So nothing to do with safety. If you looked at the link of how secure uber is I posted, You would see why they do that. UBER said it was safe for a driver with theft and breaking and entering to come pick you up. Wow that sure was one tuff background check.

Nicholson/Highland/Burbank are fair game. Plus I have a C lot pass to get on campus for those hard to reach pickups.
