The Sun's Temperature: What up with that?

The surface (photosphere) of the Sun is about 10,000 degrees F.
The corona of the Sun, which is the Sun's upper atmospher, is about 3.5 million degrees F.
The surface of the Sun is much, much cooler than the Sun's atmosphere. What up with that?
That’s like the actual flame of a fire being 350 times colder than the air around that fire.
One potential explanation is magnetic forces. But the truth is that nobody knows for sure.

That cooling comes from the fusion within the star. The explosions from that fusion creates the corona around the sun and it is typically the hottest because science.
