... the back seater was scott free...... he clearly said. WHAT THE F DID YOU JUST DO?..... right after... the pilot.. a tulane grad..... had never been given red and free even in a drill(supposedly) and... this was just a couple of months after the uss starke got hit by accident so the navy was on a very lonnng leash...

and they did turn at the ship.......

the pilot never flew again. made captain in UNSR as a supply guy was up for flag.. too.... ironically i knew him in college - we ran in same circles......

1: The man has the God given right to exaggerate. Not to mention the 10% rule.

2: I don’t think I have ever taken the time to add the “A” on to F-18. Usually just say Hornet.

Skunk Works was awesome and managed to do all sorts of things without raping the taxpayer, unlike the MIC of today.

Took a Navy guy to get it right.

Ha. Nope.

I’m just shy of 600 now.

Hoping to be at 750 by the end of the year.

I am old and my memory is not as good as it used to be but this is what I was thinking, especially based on the year quoted. Blackbird was the replacement to U2. Blackbird hit the boards in mid 60's not mid 50's.

I think that might have flown to high over your heads.

Next you are going to tell me the Germans were not the ones that bombed Pearl Harbor
