I used to live in Lawrenceville, GA where one of the flight paths for incoming traffic went almost directly overhead. Aircraft were high enough that they weren't a noise problem, but during the evenings as the sky got dark, you could see a line of airliner lights lined up for mile after mile at one minute intervals as far as one could see looking northwest to the horizon. It was kinda neat to watch for a while each evening.

When living in Memphis we could tell when it was time for bed because the FedEx planes would start coming in one after another. I think it was around 11pm that it would start. You could pull up flight aware and see them in final approach lineup for miles and miles. Never bothered me too much.

I live and work near there. It's like clockwork. They kind of have to because there's so many flights coming in and out. It's not like BR where there's maybe a dozen flights a day, lol.

I live in Atascocita, direct path for arrivals at IAH..it's fricking annoying.
