What the hell are y'all hung up on price for? This article has nothing to do with price? Can you not read or are you just too ignorant to not read it and then comment anyway?

I read the article. None of the technology discussed is widespread atm. Talk to me in 15 years, K?

You really think a graph showing the price of oil disproves this? It’s about jobs, dumbass.

But as of May, nationwide oil and gas employment is down 21% since 2014

I grew up in oil and gas, baw.

Certainly not celebrating it, but folks in the roles in question should have seen this coming for a while. It hasn’t happened overnight

Those people are dumb. That's the most secure job market right now. Although it's not very hard to learn.

Mingo

I have said it before but I’ll repeat it, Mingo is the douche in the office who is always “well actually”ing people.

He probably took a few Econ classes in college, memorized some cool, hip Econ terms and brags about his “recruitment” calls he gets, which almost everyone is getting right now with any type of marketable skills.

All I did was link an article that could have a large impact on South Louisiana, why are you so mad? Sorry I make you mad with WSJ articles.

He does have a point. You are hard like a preacher's dick in any topic involving bashing anything to do with oil and gas industry.

The O&G industry being good is good for me, I hope it stays good. I just point out when people are full of shite, sorry you can't handle facts you don't like. I don't create them, only point them out.

They aren't going to be the same when prices are high either according to this article.

Because the article's argument is based on shite that is 10-15 years down the road?

A lot of roughnecks will be phased out. A lot of service guys will be as well. But the technology isn't there yet.
