From what I've seen, SEALs do brag, in a bar....full of hot chicks.
I've met hundreds of SEALs in bars.

Just don't an OT baller hear you doing that unless you're the real McCoy...

No SEAL but my BIL is former PJ. Average guy, nothing that stands out about him.
He's shared a few things with me and the FIL but he's pretty tight lipped about everything he's done/seen.
He did do some combined training with some other operators, and he was sufficiently impressed with skill sets among the teams.

Thanks

Well, I just shortened the name for the internet. My real name is Richard De Leverage and that's what he knew me as.

Worked with two guys at my last job that were SOF. One was helo pilot that supported Delta, and other guy was a Delta operator. Both men are have connections out the arse. Neither really talked much about their time in service, but what little I did learn was very impressive. Both were involved in Black Hawk Down.

There was a guy who was an old Green Beret that retired before I started working at my present job. He would come back every now and then to visit some of the guys.
His old friends told me a few stories about going to his house and seeing pictures of him in Vietnam with some of the local fighters. The Vietnamese guy was wearing a necklace made of ears. I did not personally see the photos but more than one of my coworkers actually saw it.
This guy was very quiet and professional but one day he and another of my coworkers got into a verbal altercation. The old Green Beret broke down in the middle of the argument and started crying. I think he got pretty messed up with the stuff he had seen. He also had to go to rehab a few times for substance abuse issues. It really sucks because he seems like a really good guy.

I served in the USMC 95-00. I trained (PT) with SEALS. They were hard core! So were we, though.
Their stories were amazing, too! (More amazing than my stories... :( ...)

My uncle was one in Vietnam. Made a nice living as a deep sea welder after.

Sounds like a popular Hollywood film

Had a few SEALS in my jump class at airborne school. Not sure WTF they were even doing there but these dudes were bad mofos. They had already finished BUDS and were physical specimens.
They would finish training in the afternoon and then head out to drink all night. Come rolling in at 3/4 in the morning and "get up" with the rest of us at 4:30 to run PT. They would smoke everyone like it was nothing. I was totally in awe of these guys cuz I just THOUGHT I was in good shape.
I think they go through airborne school between BUD/S and SQT.

Good answer. Think jumping on an enemy airfield, kicking arse then holding it until heavier elements get there. This exact mission happened early in Afghanistan.
