Ye, doubt you could get a quarter for her now.

Women like her never understood that the warranty was eventually going to run out on the pussy and one would need to offer something a bit more in breadth and depth. Otherwise, you go out with the rest of the garbage Monday morning.

Anybody mention Harry Arthur, KNOE 8 Sports, before Lanny James.

Or Mr. Wonder, sex pervert recently located in CA and extradited to Rapides Parish?

Seale Lilly Ice Cream?

There was a Coney Island I think downtown on DeSiard that served some damn good real ice cream out of the bucket.

But that old boarding house in W. Monroe, $1.25, later $2 for all you could eat of the best home cooking ever.

This boarding house was on about 3rd or 4th St., W. Monroe. South 3rd or 4th I think.

Jeez this is some good stuff! I grew up in Monroe. I remember Forsythe Park pool in the summer (the kiddy pool outfront). The fireworks show on the levee in July & December. Johnny's Pizza, Fank & Janies, Ray's PeGe, the drive in, I saw Raiders of the Lost Ark at Eastgate & Star Wars at Twin City Mall. I could go on & on & on...Monroe is now Richwood w/ the highest crime per capita rate in the country.

Cinema III with Shakeys Pizza (or was it Pioneer Pizza?) next door

Line around Selber Brothers when The Empire Strikes Back previewed at the Plitt. I remember the one & only time Plitt merged BOTH SCREENS was a special showing of Gone With the Wind.

Towering Inferno was showing at Eastgate for what seems like 10 years.

Brought in an actual bed knob to get in free to the 'Bedknobs and Broomsticks' matinee.

Always hit up the Thrift Shop (and sometimes Geneva's) before the movie and sometimes we made an entire morning of it by going down the Superslide in the K&B parking lot too!

Ray's still offers 3/$1 minced meat sandwiches in 2017

Howard Brothers used to be Gibsons and I remember the Falstaff billboard right past the quonset hut next to Howard Brothers that didn't change for 40 years.

Who remembers the Bottle Shop?

eta Mark68 how the hell did you find this thread to bump?

I worked at the holidome for a little bit, business men would always ask me where to go out. I would always send them to the one strip club (mirage, I think). They would always come back looking shell shocked.

That bar in the holidome was a rocking place for the trashy milfs and Cougars back in the day. So was Top Gun.

Anybody mentioned the 13th floor? I think this was late 90's. I had a brief dancing with glow sticks career.

Jerry that worked at the convenience store by Aurora trailer park. If you acted like you liked him he would hook up big time on your beer purchase.

i remember one time driving the back road by moon lake at like 3am with some friends and having to stop because a COW was standing in the middle of the road.

a fricking cow in the middle of the road at 3am.

that was creepy as shite.

Mike Hicks died of an overdose a few years ago. David Rose is on the news in Seattle.

We must know each other...........I went to school with ALL those people.

But I know alot of us went to Sal's beer busts on Thursdays? Lucky we are alive!!
