I know battery storage is just getting off of the ground, and will be big. I also know that it will not effect the wind and solar sector and also tie in great with solar. The next 5 years will be huge for wind and with the upcoming offshore wind projects the next 20 years will be huge. What do you know?

Did you know that the battery in your cell phone is pretty much the most advanced battery technology we have?
Bingo, battery cells are tapped out in technology. I listened to a podcast on this I think off Freakenomics or planet money.
Wind and solar energy are only profitable due to government subsidies, it will never fully power this country. Nuclear power on the other hand can and will.

& solar energy will erase this crap by 2050... put your investments in girls.
I have re-allocated all of my investments into wind and solar. I will need a name and address to serve you my lawsuit down the road

The wind industry does not need government subsidies to be sustainable any longer, 10 years ago I would say that was a true statement, but that is no longer. It is doing great off of investors and energy company purchase. To think that clean energy is not here to stay is crazy.

Sure, but the biggest wind and solar companies in 2050 are going to be Chevron, ExxonMobil, BP, etc. They're energy companies, and good ones at that. As soon as another energy source is more profitable/economically viable than oil and gas, those companies will bring it to you.

BP has been in the wind sector for years now and continue to be. Lots of others companies are invested in wind such as GOOGLE, Berkshire, GE and Seimens... and if these others come then great. They will manufacture more turbines
Its not like it will ever overtake oil & gas it is another form of clean energy that preserves our planet and keeps us in the world market.

The fact that the government and this country have not pushed for more natural gas use is insane.

Wind
the equipment needed right now to harvest is wayyyyyyyy too expensive
solar is more likely but we need more technology to harvest it and also better storage cells.....

SASOL in Lake Charles is definitely something to note, more of these types start popping up the more LNG we'll have and the cheaper it'll get
