record breaking cold weather events in the Winter: this is a single event, not climate change.

We are setting WAY more record highs every year than record lows and that trend is accelerating.

That area has hit 105° officially only 5 out of the past 48 days. Only one of those days was a daily record.

There is an official USGS/NOAA station in Scottsboro. Here are the temperature records:

I've got a thermometer at my house that says otherwise, it's 107 right now

Yep, its colder in winter, that's just weather. 1/10th of an inch of rain falls above normal, its climate change.

They're attributing landslides and rockslides to climate change. I've heard enough to realize tuning them out is the best idea.

Great. Report it and see if they'll put it in the official record.

I ain't gonna lie, I don't mind sweat....but this yr in an uninsulated cabin in 100+ degree index is kinda a pain. Hard to keep to temp 83....

2012 and 2019 are the most recent in the last decade where temperatures were hotter than normal for longer stretches.

The data says the temperature trend for this time period in Bowling Green is downward:

All high temperature data for Bowling Green trending down:

However there are some time periods were the temperature data in Bowling Green trended upward. For example:

To show a trend upward or downward it all depends on your starting and ending points.

Why do you think climate scientist start their timeline in the 1960s?

Our temps are due to solar maximums and minimums. It’s an 11 year cycle. We are in maximum cycle 25 where we should see peak heat in 2025 but it’s a lazy cycle and the solar maximum is peaking in 2022. It’s not about climate change crap.

Hundreds of millions of emissions engines from industrial revolution to-date, in a closed system of Earth, has zero effect on climate? Cancer?

Whew

Well….

with this logic. “that carbon based emissions that have been trapped in the atmosphere for decades” that is. Kind of makes it silly for the US to cripple its own energy independence in order to slightly decrease carbon emission when China, India, and Africa are increasing theirs, with 0 intent to curb that. Doesn’t it?

That above 90 degrees in 1954? I was there. It was HOT and dry. We were hit with an Anthrax epidemic in our cattle. We lost a significant portion of our herd.

So darned dry all the grass died, except bitter weed. Our milk cow was reduced to grazing on bitter weed. I cringed when I drank the bitter milk, but I drank it anyway. Times were tuff. We bartered with our neighbors. We got through it. Life goes on.

I napped on the floor in the front room next to the screen door, with nothing but an 18" Oscillating Fan to cool me off. We adapted. A/C has spoiled us. Greatest invention since granulated sugar.

Climate Change is a hoax. Much todo about nothing.

There are several factors and the solar cycle might play the biggest factor in terms of forcing temperature change. Another big factor is the Milankovitch Cycle. The solar cycle and Milankovitch cycle are probably the two biggest factors driving temperature change on earth.

Does CO2 have an impact? Sure. But all atmospheric constituents have an impact. Concerning CO2 the data indicates that the higher concentrations are making the earth a more temperate planet. That is, CO2 correlates with trends of lower high temperatures and higher low temperatures. My hypothesis (and others too) is that CO2 is causing greening of the earth. Greening of the earth is causing plants to increase the water cycle and with more water in the atmosphere it is causing the daily temperature cycle to be more temperate.

Record breaking heat is new... it would not break records otherwise.
