It's just too small for 18 wheelers to navigate with out crushing the retarded Hammond drivers.

Is it? What was the AASHTO Design vehicle used? WB-50? Something smaller?

Is it?

Driving to North Oaks the other day, every 18 wheeler in the roundabout at Club delux was crossed over both lanes while making the turn.

I've stayed away from there, but the few times I've been through there I've seen that happen.

With every 40 something woman in the world running around with a iPhone in their face, I can see where paying attention and operating s vehicle seems difficult.

I love roundabouts

Is the one at Club Deluxe a 2 lane as well? They are making U-Turns from the outer lane to get back to the interstate?

I'm gonna drive it next week when I'm in the area. Gotta see what the fuss is about.

Theyre only halfway done so they are not in full use yet, dumbass.

the one by my house (old covington & airport road) gets ramped by a car at least once a month. its one of the few i;'ve ever seen with a huge dirt hill in the middle of of, but i guess they anticipated hammond drivers being abject morons

I've driven through that one a lot. I think that is jack arse kids in trucks/jeeps doing that intentionally.. not people flying over the roundabout accidentally.

I love the one on club deluxe, and I actually don't mind the one before the interstate. But I don't see the need for a 3rd. Coming from west, before you get to that exit you have a big truck stop and another place where they sell cranes and shite. CAT I think. Immediate after that is a field of nothing. The best way would of been to create a side exit for 18 wheelers to get off there and go to club deluxe or have it go directly into the truck stop. That would cut a good portion. Then the remaining trucks who want to go to the pilot across the street wouldn't have to deal with as much traffic.

its mostly people in ramping it accidently...as evidenced by the cars stuck on top of it with a wrecker pulling them off. they have replaced the signs and posts and the landscaping on that thing numerous times since built. right when it opened there was a roundabout sign with a flashing light north & southbound on airport, those got knocked over within a week and never replaced

Yes, they have the old turning lane between the truck stops blocked. This isn't a bad thing, because the primary issue going south was trucks spilling onto the roads waiting to turn into and out of the truck stops.

They are still under construction, drivers arent used to them yet ....and by the way the traffic is still 10X bettter than it was before!!! Have any of you ever traveled that stretch BEFORE the roundabouts?? Talk about a clusterfrick!

eastbound, exit at 55N, then 190E, bypass the whole thing
westbound, exit at airport rd, then west on old covington or 190, bypass the whole thing

i've used that exit maybe 10 times in the 10yrs i've lived there
