Robin the Hood needs to be on there.
Yes I know some say he was just a legend but some say he might have actually lived. Who knows… but I like the story and drinking Ale and hanging out in the woods stealing from the corrupt sounds fun.

There's also the valiant Don Roland who, when he discovered in a fountain the signs that Angelica the Fair had committed base acts with Medoro, his grief drove him mad, and he uprooted trees, befouled the waters of clear fountains, killed shepherds, destroyed livestock, burned huts, demolished houses, pulled down mares, and did a hundred thousand other unheard-of things worthy of eternal renown and record.

Can’t believe nobody mentioned Belisarius.
I guess technically Middle Ages, but there were people alive during his heyday who were also alive when the Western Roman Empire was still mostly intact. Not sure I’d consider him medieval, so to speak.
He himself viewed his campaigns as more of a restoration of recently-lost territory than anything else.

Sobieski had balls. His attack should never have worked. He and his Hussars were badly outnumbered but hit the Turks at the perfect time
