You ever stop and think that "easy" relationships are simply two people that know how to work together?
This.

The truth is that a good relationship is easy and if it’s not easy, it’s not that good.
1) new couple still in the honeymoon phase (up to 2 years).
2) from someone right before they are dumped.
3) someone in a relationship with a total sub, who doesn't complain that their needs aren't being met.
Relationships are like a savings account. You get out what you put in. . .and extra if you are a good steward.
People expect this shite to be easy, because you watch too many rom-coms and think it's how life works.
I am happily married. Just dinged 15 years on the 20th. Lot of work. Tons of sacrifice and compromise.
It isn't easy, but she is worth the effort.

You are missing the point. Work is a drain. Your relationship shouldn't drain you. It is one thing to say it should require work, it is another thing to say it doesn't require effort. But I hear you and all those like you what you're saying.

They do take work and effort.
I don't know a single man that didn't have to put effort in at least locking up the girl in a relationship.
Then once you are married with kids that is a whole nother thing. One kid has soccer, one has softball, one has karate. You got to split up time if both parents have a job to take care of the kids. That takes work and communication.
Life isn't always easy.

And this ladies and gentlemen is why people are divorcing at ridiculous rates and affairs are rampant.
This is the other side. People aren't willing to work through issues they have. Give up too easily. And it has a lot to do with technology. It's way easier to meet people and communicate with a push of a button. Just feel like the long 30+ years of marriage are dwindling. People aren't willing to put in the work anymore.
I'm in a semi long distance relationship. I work in BR, GF works in Nola. It's not easy, but I love the girl. I'm getting transfered over to the North Shore in 2 months. We will move in together, and it will be a much shorter commute for her than if she was in br. We are both making sacrifices to be together, it's not physical labor, but it takes work and patience from both of us.

Life isn't easy but you can and should enjoy life. Don't get wrapped around the axles here. A good relationship shouldn't drain you. If it does you need a better balance.

Well sure. Working with your spouse does not equal a draining relationship where you can't have fun along the way.
It's not an either/or type deal.

Oh I hear you, in my situation we both could have just given up though, that's the easy part imo.
