It's common for people who regularly come in contact with lonestars ticks, which isn't that high of a number. Much more so than other insect vector transmissions. Literally every lonestar that has come in contact with a mammal has this, which is probably a good portion of them each season.
But it is always a good idea to check for ticks once leaving the woods. If you do this one should have nothing to worry about

I found my tick about 3 weeks ago and had, what I thought was, poison ivey this weekend and it was baddddd. Also ate red meat both Friday and Saturday night.
I eat so much red meat though. I will put this to the test tonight again.

Good luck. I suggest having Benadryl handy, and staying awake for a while after you eat. My hives start appearing about 4-6 hours later.

I just put a timeline together.
-4 weeks ago I found a tick on my balls
-Thursday ate tacos with ground beef for dinner
-Friday I found poison ivy like rash on my stomach, assumed it was poison ivy
-Saturday night had steak
-Sunday morning rash had worsened and my throat was swollen, I assumed poison ivy just gave me a bad reaction
-Had awful diarrhea that day too
-Haven't had red meat in large quantities since Saturday night and symptoms are getting better.

you are right. the past 6 months i have not ate anything but baked chicken and turkey anyway and veggies (im eating healthy) but once football season kicks in im a red meat eating fool
