I just feel bad for the indies that piggieback off of Mania weekend and these independent performers that get their trips comped and see their biggest paydays of their years missing out on that in 2027.
You mean the ones that Tony Khan took talent from and does nothing with or the ones that he sends Sasha Banks to to get paid $25k to take their title and never acknowledge them again?

NXT was horrible when they started 2.0
Are you fricking stupid? 2.0 is what turned NXT around. Vince had to tell Triple H and HBK to stop fricking around with their AARP Indy darlings and get back to the purpose of the whole thing: Find young athletes and cultivate them to be the next generation of performer. Bron Breakker, Oba Femi, Sol Ruca, Tiffany Stratton, Roxanne Perez, Grayson Waller, Carmelo Hayes, Trick Williams, The Creed Brothers, Pretty Deadly, Ivy Nile, and Fallon Henley all came up through that era. The next batch will be coming up over the next 2-3 years as well.

Don't forget that TKO trashed house shows
Because they don’t need them and the performers don’t care for them.

priced families out of events
And yet the shows are consistently sold out. They put more asses in seats during random Raw and Smackdowns than the number 3 company (AEW) can for their biggest events and that’s with AEW having $10 tickets and 2 for one specials.

They're stuck with Netflix RAW having to be the "A" show, SD back to cable, and NXT as the only program on network TV.
“Stuck” with the company have more financial and mainstream success than it has ever had. Sounds terrible!

This is the only part I disagree with you. CM Punk, Bayley, and many others have been vocal in interviews about not having house shows leading to sloppy timing, and CM Punk said those house shows are needed for non main eventers to sell their Merch. Said that's the chance for kids and families to see (he named a few) walk behind a table after wrestling and sign some stuff or talk to fans. People like Otis and Akira would come out and greet kids and fans, as well as others who might not be getting the TV time.
Bayley talked about the house shows are a chance for some of the newer talent to pair with some of the Vets to work on timing of matches and even get on a mic to a live crowd without a set storyline or cameras in your face.
Edit: but I think it was understood that it didn't need to be 350 days on the road like before. A Thursday night or Saturday night house show isn't killing the performers

Yea there’s a happy medium. They didn’t need to nuke all of it.

The house shows in BR at the Centroplex in the late 90s and early 2000s were always a blast. Think they would always do a Saturday or Sunday show before going to Cajun Dome for Raw.
Good times.
Good times.

I took my son to Baton Rouge River center right after Nakamura got called up to the main roster. We got a signed poster from him and while he didn't stay long, he walked behind the main merch table held up one of his shirts, did the "come on" thing to get the crowd fired up and threw it in the crowd standing there. Shook some hands and left. When the Usos were driving out of the parking lot, they slowed down and gave their shirts to kids standing by where we we watching them all leave from.
These are the memories that kids take with them to becoming fans. Yes, Mania is the Superbowl for WWE and will be priced as one... But paying $20 a kid to watch a Saturday event to see the 3 biggest faces all hit the biggest heels with their finishers at once and tell everyone thank you for coming is something those kids never forget.

But Triple Hitler can’t book lol

Seeing that has changed my mind about the outcome from Saturday. This is 1980s level hate that needs to be capitalized on. I'm sold on Gunther retiring a bunch of fan favorites next year.

Why did they change Gunthers intro music?
I preferred the Nazi chant sounding intro, great heel intro

I think Jericho returns for a final run and Hall of Fame announcement. Have Gunther come and challenge him and Jericho basically tell him that John Cena is an honest man and will not wrestle again... But if you make me tap out, I'll go to some random arse promotion and wrestle again just to piss your stupid arse off. Lol

They gave him his intro music back. That was his original theme.

It’s his original theme and I imagine it’s what he wants. I agree the other is better for his current persona though

Wrestling is pretty lame now but on Jericho …
His first JERICHO entrance in the WWE was the loudest pop of all time.

I absolutely loved Jericho. His insults, his whining about things, Raw really was Jericho and I loved it.

So what was the point of Brock attacking Cena at SSlam?
Posted on 12/15/25 at 1:25 pm to Horsemeat
Brock fought Cena at one of the PLEs afterwards... The wrestlepalooza shite they had as ESPN's first exclusive PLE. Brock squashed him.

Wow. Surprised at what I'm reading in this thread. Couldn't watch in Saturday so had to catch up later. Already knew the outcome as spoilers had leaked, then again, I knew a week ago this is how it would end. How did you all NOT see this ending coming?
You had to know Gunther was going to make Cena quit. That's kind of the entire point in telling a story and finishing an arc, that the guy who will never quit is made to quit in his final match ever.
The heat on Gunther is hotter than the surface of the sun. Perfect guy for it. He's the opposite of Cena, he'll never be a face, ever.
Gunther is going to retire a few more guys in the coming years. Just watch. It will be his "thing".

My main complaint was the smirk on the face when tapping.
