To some people like mmbeer, this isnt a thing. His excuses are
Some dude finished in her
Abortion is illegal
She was forced to have the kid
Lets just ignore the idea of wearing a condom, not finishing in the girl, get plan B, or drive to get an abortion. None of that matters. Mmmmmbeer is among the people that think those poor people need them to get through every day.

Outliers are Outliers.
and I notice you’ve just said that not really given an example.

I remember kids I knew in school that both parents worked two jobs to make a decent life for them.
They probably didnt live outside their means like 92% of all Americans do.

This is another leftist position that only requires a peel or two of the onion to reveal how dumb it is.
For instance, with the amount of money we’ve plowed into assistance programs since FDR - wouldn’t they have worked by now? With the amount of money we’ve plowed into schools, wouldn’t everyone be educated? With the amount of assistance provided to generations of poor, why are they still poor?
It’s not a money problem.

Never has been.
Its a self control problem.
Everyone wants everything right now without having to put the work in. Its that simple.
Technology, photos, etc. Have just escalated the amount of people who want want want
Then, at the end, everyone wonders why all the money is with less that 5% of the people.
Everyone has an opportunity financially, everyone. Its just a matter of how much are you willing to sacrifice now to get to that big dick money later on. Most take the fast pleasure and come retirement they are 401K millionaires for a month or two then poof.

The goal is setting up the generational money for the kids and grandkids.
By 40-45 you shouldve done all the shite you need to do anyways. Start building shite for your family and stop spending on yourself.

Again, because you can't think of anything means they're outliers

Appliances for a recent example. Big box stores it was a minimum of two weeks to get something shipped in. Local place got me something same day.

A large portion of our population has become so institutionalized they cant see opportunity, they have to be hand held by govt.
Then they depend on min wage increases for wages.

The fact that it’s hard to think of something makes it an outlier.

i’ve been to local stores and been told
I couldn’t get a fridge for 3 months and the bought one at Lowes.

I can think of a million things. That's a you problem

Cool, doesn't make much of a point though.

no you can’t.

neither does your anecdote.

Sure I can. My local AC service company is cheaper and more available than the national chain ones that service the area.

Actually it does, as your stupid claim was that mom and pop places don't save people money in any way. You are without a doubt the worst "lawyer" on this site.

Are you free tomorrow? If so, pass by my high school class full of kids who either straight up DGAF or are too dumb and lazy to every hope to have a decent life. An entire generation on the government teat, from cradle to the grave.

999,999 things to go.
But I will admit that local laborers are usually cheaper because of lower overhead. especially the owner operators. But of court they don’t really come into play in a minimum wage conversation .

You didn’t even say you saved money in your story.
You said you were able to buy an appliance same day at a mom and pop store.
My counter argument was that this argument doesn’t always hold up and just as often Mom and pop shops don’t have a product and big box stores do.
And almost always at a lower price.
Whoever your lawyer is, keep
paying them because you suck at this.

You can lead someone to knowledge, but you can't make them think. It will unfortunately always be this way. No amount of education and resources will change them. I hate it; it sucks, but what can be done?

Minimum wage is a fallacy and increasing it just drives the CoL that everyone complains about higher. It’s a stupid concept parroted by people who either have never worked or don’t understand basic economics.
The only people that should be making minimum wage are kids and students. My 16 yr old is on his second job and both pay higher than minimum wage.
Society will pay for it one way or another. You can't force people to get a skill set and some of them may not be mentally and/or emotionally capable of acquiring it.
Posted on 4/2/24 at 5:35 pm to DakIsNoLB
There are plenty of jobs out there that don't require a "skillset".

Your delusion is spectacular. Your argument that mom and pop's can never save anyone money is one of the dumbest things I've read here. Apparently I need to explain to you how same day availability can have financial impacts, perhaps I use that product to make money myself so same day availability is a big deal and can mema the difference in getting a job or not. Does your tiny brain possess the ability to consider the time value of something?
But yea. Go ahead and cling to the seminatics of a million examples.

If you can’t afford to live off the wage you earn, you aren’t gonna be able to go learn a trade.
