Meanwhile, Miami built a hotel that looks like a damned guitar

Meanwhile, China has invented a new virus and built a Hospital just to contain it.

I really don’t give a shite how much it has cost the city unless the state comes in to bail the city out. frick NOLA’s government.

Works for me. The more bad press for Hard Rock the better. They’re the EBCI’s greatest competitor.
Sucks to suck, NO.

No troll. Can someone please explain to me why the fire department is on scene 24/7? If the building were to collapse further there is a fire station less than a half of a mile away on Cleveland. The fire truck could be there in minutes. Seems like a waste of money.

How much did it cost the city to take down the statues?

I mean, I have to think Hard Rock or the contractors will be forced to reimburse the city

It’s going to take a whole lot of red light camera tickets, $30 parking tickets, and vehicle impound fees to make up an $11 million debt. But I know NOLA can do it.

Looks like a bloated estimate that the city plans to have someone else pay.

When you take into account all the skimming and graft, it’ll end up being more like a $25 million debt.
But that’s ok. They’re cranking up all those aforementioned methods of recovery as we speak.

Those lost revenue numbers are probably inflated for future lawsuits.

Costs will continue to accrue while the insurance companies prepare their subrogation cases.
The first line item of the repair to Rampart Street hasn’t even occurred yet due to the section of crane still being lodged in the street.
List is somewhat bullshite with estimated costs as well as some accrued costs, which is SOP for an insurance claim.

It hasn't cost the city $11MM because they have not and never will pay that amount. These are the estimated costs. Kailas is paying directly for the NOPD and NOFD details. The insurers will cover a portion of the infrastructure damage. More fearmongering from the city.
