Water is just below bottom of bridge on Bluebonnet and all storm drains are backing out onto Bluebonnet. Any heavy rain will result in basically instant street flooding on that portion of Bluebonnet.

Just heard one of the WAFB anchors on a hot mic talking about how they were getting reports of a levee breaking, and whenever they were told to switch to a breaking story it completely caught them off guard that it was a triple shooting.

Just drove through Lakes at Highland. Water comming out of storm drains into the street and Bayou Fountain is just about to touch (if it isn't already touching) the bottom of the bridge.

If you live in Lakes at Highland, I would strongly consider leaving.

This is the most concerning thing for places that have not experienced backwater flooding yet.

Sherwood is on the Jones Creek watershed, this location is marked by the red X.

I was under the impression that backwater flooding has slowed there, but if it is still increasing, this means that the current wave working its way up Highland and Bayou Manchac/Bayou Fountain/Ward Creek will keep flooding for quite some time, perhaps well into the night and early morning hours. The current location of backwater flooding on that watershed is marked by the blue X.

Red arrows show backwater flooding, blue shows normal direction flow.

I live off of 42 behind kleinpeter farm (old Lamar Dixon farm) in Meadow ridge off mccory and had to evacuate. The water was rising fast and didn't seem to be letting up. It's moving away from muddy creek.

This spot is particularly important to me, and to most of Baton Rouge. That location, marked by an X here, is at a point where many homes up the Bayou Fountain will flood.

Also, that location is important to me because I live up the road on Siegen near Perkins - please let me know how it proceeds.

its the 4th house when you turn left onto barringer from profit. The water is so high up that its managed to get into my friends parents house that is in the middle of the field.

Her house lasted longer than most on that stretch because its set just a bit further back from the road.

Trying to remember this levee...

I think it protects Spanish Lake from Manchac. Since Spanish Lake has been drained now I am not sure how that changes. I believe people on Ridge Road in Pville have to worry on this one, but honestly don't remember. I THANKS bluff and 74 act as barriers for the water, but I wouldn't doubt it could over top 74 and get behind Oak Alley and the other subdivisions their via the "Allied Chemical" buffer zone.

Seems like it always was sandbag by East Iberville
