Looks like Ward is back flowing. This could be bad.

What are the chances of having a boil advisory in EBR? Debating if I need to stock up on some water just in case.

Does anyone know the predicted crest at Bayou Fountain and Bluebonnet ?
There is no predicted crest. This is backflow flooding from the Amite crest and does not seem to have been modeled or studied. All we can do is try and project the crest of the Amite back into its tributaries. Highest it would be is 21.5, since that's the forecast crest at Manchac Point. But it could be lower than that since it's dynamic and time dependent.

I10 is closed just north of highway 73 exit. Manchac gauge is down and we will not be getting any additional readings there. That is a critical gauge

Not that I've heard. My folks that lived in there have evacuated over to another family's house in Tara. If you hear anything, I'd be interested in hearing as well.

Looks like Ward crosses Highland at elevation 18. And it already seems like water has come up into Santa Maria streets that are at elevation 19.

How has a device that can evaporate mass quantities of water not been invented yet?

It has. There's a problem with the scale of the device required for this much water.

Anyone have information about ponderosa at old Hammond hwy? Specifically the Mobil station and the town houses across the street?

We have friends that live on Ponderosa that had to evacuate. They said most of the houses on that street had water in them

I would think/hope Bayou Fountain would be the least affected since it is the last run-off the back flow would hit
It hit clay cut, ward, muddy creek, etc.... Bayou Fountain is the last so let's hope it is the least affected

No boil advisory that I know of right now

She's actually my physician for follow up cancer. She's a very nice lady. Was a shame she got caught up in Katrina mess.
