Why would the percentages be different in different parishes? Why bother with such a law at the parish level (or any level at that matter)?

Because religion.

North Louisiana. Come on and raise up. Take your shirt off.
Twist it around your hand. Spin it like a helicopter.

I spent the first 27 years of my life in bossier city and the last 5+ in south LA.

South LA is by far and away better for college kids until you are ready to hang up your party shoes.

North LA is better for raising kids. Bossier Parish was actually ranked top parish in the state to raise a kid.

I'm originally from North LA. Been living down here in South LA for about 6 years now. Packing the family up and moving back home to North LA in a couple of weeks. Now that we have a 2 year old son I look at things a little differently. I would much rather raise him up there than down here. I'm sure some will disagree and that's fine but for what I'm looking for, North LA is where I need to be.

That doesn't mainly have to do with wanting to be around grandparents and other family members?

That's certainly the most important thing but another important thing to me is that where we are moving I could send him to public shool when he gets older and not feel one bit bad about it.

Leesville is worst place in la.
We don't claim it.

Northeast Louisiana delta FTW, even though downtown tallulah looks a third world country.

I'm in southwest Louisiana, I don't know much about anything east of me. Y'all choose your own border. I'll stick with 90 as the separation of god's country and the hillbillies.
