What about company Christmas parties or conferences where cocktails parties are planned events? If an important client says he wants to discuss business over drinks, you go. It’s difficult to get out of it sometimes.

Jesus christ, do you people live under a fricking rock? We wine and dine clients all the time and have a couple parties a year where people get pretty canned. As well as at least monthly happy hours.

What is sales? They take people for drinks all the time.

This guy was a source for this journalist. She probably texted him and wanted to talk to him about a story. The text was along the lines of "hey do you want to meet at X bar and talk about X story I'm working on." it's not like they went to fricking Reggie's together you morons.

Some people passed the pubecant stage and can talk to the opposite sex without having uncontrollable urges to try to have sex with them.

Maybe one day you will get there.

I guess I should stop taking my secretaries out to lunch

Little stuff like that a few times a year makes my work life so much better

I don’t doubt any of this. Still doesn’t necessitate throwing ol baw to the vultures in the name of virtue signaling all because he has zero game.

Stop being a dick.

Just my personal opinion and the last I checked I’m entitled to it regardless if you agree or not.

More than one and lunch. I’m sure they enjoy it.

The thread devolved but a couple things

1. We have no idea who the dude is.
2. It was a totally creepy and inappropriate comment.
3. She overreacted
4. There's some retards here that said it was here fault. One guy literally referenced a photo of here wearing a dress and said she shouldnt dress like that if she doesn't want those kinds of comments.

The SJW bullshite is exhausting, but that doesn't excuse this weirdo for texting (of all things) that to a woman that he has only a professional relationship with.

Your entitled to it, sure. It's just juvenile and asinine.

That a super majority would agree with and think yours is childish. You're a grown adult and don't think you can be with the opposite sex 1 on 1.

The lengths we go through to defend public shaming for inconsequential events is astounding. What stake do you have in this to say whether the weirdo is justified or not. If it was truly unprofessional as she presents it, why not handle this in-house? I honestly don’t know why people care so much about things like this. Is it just to say “oh I had an interaction like this too!”

Did you take a poll?

You didn’t, you’re just going by what you believe the populous would say here. You’re a fricking sheep.

And with more #metoo’s the likelihood of this type of “professional” behavior will eventually decrease.

What any normal person would think. But anyone with an agenda will present it to show that men are just awful and weirdo creeps.
