Professional drinks is the funniest part.

Good lord. Do y’all think this is some sort of conspiracy? Drinks are extremely common in all sorts of industries. It’s how you build rapport.

They don't think it's a conspiracy. They think she's overreacting.

I don’t disagree. I’m just laughing at the posters who seem to think “professional drinks” is code for something.

Is it wrong in believing you when you go out with someone of the opposite sex and have drinks, that’s an opening to assume something other than business?

I mean that puts her in an weird situation when if it was just to two of them, it can turn into an he said she said thing. Why risk that?

You really are clueless. It’s not that anyone thinks it’s code fir something, it’s that adding professional to it is just her trying to sensationalize a nothingburger story and make this guy a public jackass.

Dress it up as much as you want it’s still drinks. I’m inclined to believe it was considered a date by the guy and who knows where the conversation went while they were having “professional drinks”.

It’s code for being stupid. No one drinks alcohol as part of their job.

Well, if they really were professional drinks, she should call it that. Look, there is nothing wrong with the guy being attracted to his colleague and making a pass at her. The issue is that the way that he did it is just gross. He really couldn’t come up with something a little more clever? Perhaps something that would enable them to salvage their business relationship if she shot him down. Just simply saying, “Hey, can we go out on a date sometime” might have worked.

With that said, she seems a little more pissed off than she should be. Some guys are just gross, and she should know that by now.

Drinks are extremely common is a variety of industries. I don’t know what planet you are from, but I live in Houston and business drinks are super common. Maybe I just work with a bunch of lushes.

Unless he’s super stupid, why would he risk so much if she didn’t give off the f’’me signals?

If you think he wants to mitigate risk, don’t you think asking her for a date is lower risk than saying he wants to see her naked? The dude is a full blown weirdo.

And that could very well be the case. Idk, I wouldn’t have drink with a single person outside of work, just too much BS can happen. Not worth the risk.

If women didn't have pussies, there'd be a bounty on them.

Because calling it “professional drinks” is so common, right? The only reason she put that disclaimer is to emphasize women being taken advantage of even though she wasnt.

I’m tired of meaningless disclaimers to over-sensationalize male/female encounters. Actions should speak for themselves. Even without the “professional” disclaimer, she would have succeeded in making the dude look like a jackass to the public with just the texts.
