Sinatra’s 1200 page FBI file was released about seven months after he died in 1998 and the government surveillance was public knowledge then. In other words, no news here.

I think Op is mistaken, plus Sinatra was a familiar with Luciano. Also Gianncana is alleged to have intimated others at the behest if Sinatra.
