William Taft can suck a chode

1909 = start of corporate income tax
1913 = start of the FED
1913 = 16th amendment ratified leading to
1916 = Revenue Act Passed
1946 = Administrative Procedure Act Passed

The country started dying a long time ago.

How is taking the automatic $27,700 ‘getting fricked’? If you take the standard deduction, that means you don’t have more than that to deduct, right? Not being a dick, just trying to understand how that’s ’getting fricked’. We’ve taken the standard for the past few years since the standard was increased so much. Makes our taxes a hell of a lot easier.

I felt like we did better being able to write off the cell phones, mileage difference from car package and a portion of our home, donations ETC.

When the government takes 6 figures from you every year and you have to take the standard deduction and owe them more money it kinda feels like you’re getting fricked.

Roads have potholes, bridges are falling apart, police becoming more militarized, and a border that is open.

have fun with those dog parks and your money being sent to Ukraine.

The middle class is on the endangered species list.

Soon you will just have the rich and the rest living off the government.

Which is atrocious considering the quality of public education in most of Louisiana.

Most of this is the parents and the kids. Even the absolute worst schools have some kids who do well. For some schools it's having to regress to get the kids who are lagging behind that holds back other kids who would otherwise perform well.

ROI? Like what? Louisiana roads? Affordable healthcare? Affordable groceries right now? fricking double the cost of homeowner’s insurance in the last year? Motherfricker, if it wasn’t for the massive amount of money the government steals from me in multiple ways I may be able to actually get ahead.

3 of the 4 of these are for-profit industries. (And Louisiana is a notoriously wasteful government.)

Unless you're advocating for government-provided options for all three.
