That concern over dropping a display bomb was whether if would even work. And is burning out Tokyo in the the fire raids was not convincing them, why would this display. Finally, it is not as if the Japanese we’re not still actively fighting in China, the Dutch East Indies, Manchuria, etc.

You contended dropping the bomb on Japan was a war crime. You backed up this claim with nothing. I asked you a perfectly reasonable question, especially since you’ve made it apparent you fully understand the situation in the summer of 1945 and options available to Truman. Why do you continue to avoid explaining what option you think he should have chosen? You’ve stated one option, using the atomic bomb, is a war crime. So which one of the other two options was better? It’s not a difficult question and a perfectly valid one.
