At least they canned Jarvis DeBerry, that was a good start.

Probably only because Georges probably knew Jarvis would do an article about Georges wearing blackface back in the day.

I'll pass. They put out a crappy online product as well, and then added insult to injury by throwing up a pay wall. I'll get my news elsewhere.

Advertising is way down and even worse because of the virus....People in News always thought that the only reason people bought the newspaper was to read their articles..

There is no paywall currently, FWIW.

The TP was one of the oldest and most respected papers in the South. It had its problems, but the solution was not selling out to an egomaniac who fired the talent, put up a pay wall and messed up the website. And tossing a free rag on my doorstep every Friday morning isn't helping, either. I'm not going to resubscribe loser.

WAFB & WBRZ "investigations" involve petty things like broken sidewalks in front of a home or a clogged culvert.

Those are the "on your side" stories, done by Brittany Weiss Shingelton at WBRZ

The WBRZ investigator is Nak the Knife who brings entertainments and takes down the corrupt. See Deedy Slaughter.

The Advocate can burn in hell along with the majority of their left wing activist they hired disguised as “journalist”.

You probably consider yourself a pro life Christian

maybe but Mann has a serious case of trump derangement. Dude seems to spend most of his day tweeting and retweeting about him....yet wonders why he only gets small pay raises at LSU.

Not only that but he also gets asshurt every time LSU Athletics gets lauded with anything. He’s a typical academic with zero actual accomplishments.

They're also promoted as "investigating" stories and eat up time, along with Pat's redundant weather blurbs, that should be used for actual news.

Point is, the major "news" outlets in the capitol city are severely lacking and they have themselves to blame.

I have been a subscriber for over 40 years and I watched the quality drop steadily over the last 5 or 6 years. (Fewer pages, less actual news and more editorials dressed and presented as news, dropping sports news because they close out the paper earlier than in years back, and more) They have become far too liberal for their market and are completely uninteresting to younger people. They got themselves into the position they are in and I have no sympathy.
