Welp

quote:

On the night of February 10th, the Saturday before Mardi Gras, there was a downpour and a viewer captured the scene that unfolded on Bourbon. The street was covered in water with catch basins seemingly backed up. Travelers had no option but to make their way across the street in ankle deep water. The same viewer who shot the video has been documenting the construction, and noted flood issues have not improved since work began.

And then there's this tidbit...
quote:

Others on Bourbon say the flooding went down quicker than it has ever before.

Bourbon isn't what it once was. I wouldn't care if it stayed flooded and they raced mud boats on it

How heavy was the downpour? Could it have been more than the design capacity?

Didn’t the whole city flood this summer with just a little bit heavier than average rain?

And all subsequently were hospitalized due to a nasty infection.

No matter, I'm sure the design and construction firms on that project made bank and Mitch got his share
