Good.

But just wondering, has TX executed any cops that killed civilians?

Not that I am aware of. But that is besides the point.

Just read some more about the incident. He shot at a bird on a fence post with a .22 and that's what started the whole thing

Do you know the cost to house and treat aging inmates that are diagnosed with cancer?

Not sure if we really saved much money on only 28 people when you consider how much cost went into the process.

My feels are better fulfilled when people that kill someone else gets killed.

True, cancer is expensive. Do you know since 1976 we only execute about 35 people per year (Note: we average about 49 people per year since 2000)?
Since 1976 we only executed 1,425 people. How much time and court cost did those 1,425 people add up to? An execution is often years and sometimes decades in the making. How much was the cost of all the other people on death row (FYI there are about 3,000 currently on death row in the US)? In the long run, did we really "save" much on cost? Some say more could be saved if we just gave everyone on death row life.

I guess an argument could be lets have less appeals and execute more. I guess that could potentially save more.

In other execution news.

JACKSON, Miss. (AP) – Mississippi Attorney General Jim Hood says he will ask legislators to set an alternative form of execution in case the state is blocked from doing lethal injections.

He says that could include use of nitrogen gas, electrocution or firing squad.

That's why I believe you should only be allowed one appeal. If it doesn't work out, you're on deck for the table. None of this appeal after appeal and staying on death row for 10-15 years.
