quote:

Erick Davila received lethal injection for using a laser-sighted semi-automatic rifle to spray bullets at about 20 people -- more than a dozen of them children. Annette Stevenson, 48, and her granddaughter, Queshawn Stevenson, were killed and four others were wounded, including the girl who was celebrating her 9th birthday.
quote:

Davila was accused but not tried in another fatal shooting just days before the birthday party slayings. While awaiting trial for capital murder, he also attacked Tarrant County jailers and maintenance workers during an escape attempt. He previously served prison time for a 2004 burglary in Tarrant County and was released after about a year.

He is in a better place. No, maybe not.
He will be missed. No, not really.

Someone explain to me how it is morally wrong to execute a sack of shite who shoots up children’s birthday parties.

This guy appears to be a poster child for why we keep it around.

I'm not gonna whine that they took a decade too long.

But that's what happened.

A decade isn’t the worst I’ve seen. The guy who killed the black guy in Jasper, TX is still on death row and it’s been 20 years.

My stance of why the death penalty should be outlawed, is because of the potential to execute an innocent person just to make sure those who truly committed the crime (this guy) are executed. There are people who are serving murder convictions, including those who are on death row being exonerated. And if we are ok with the potential of killing innocent people, then why even have a justice system in place anyway.

My thoughts and prayers are with him.
Well, not my prayers.
Or my thoughts.

With modern forensic techniques, its virtually impossible to execute the wrong people these days.

also, we should absolutely have expedited executions for blatant/obvious murders. i.e. where its on video, mass shooters who are captured etc..
