Isolate them? As in close the borders to the Western world? I would love that.

No way would launching a fricking ICBM create any backlash

unless you can prove you aren't. What do you mean, "forward thinking"?
I'm talking Middle Ages. Socially and scientifically they were pretty superior to everybody but China, at the time. Their cities were advanced, their engineering was advanced, some of the great early mathematicians were Muslim.
It's been downhill since then.

Staying out of the middle east business at this point doesn't do any good.

Where's a bulldozer when you need one?

Yes, but you can't go in half arse. We stormed into Iraq with ease, then backed off. It is truly sad, but if you are going to fight, you must be ruthless.

That would help to an extent. So I can agree to a point. The US foreign policy in the ME has been a complete and utter failure.

then backed off

There needs to be a fundamental movement against Islam as a whole. They attack everyone.

Funny you say this. Imagine if Christian conservativism were allowed to go unchecked, would we see the same results of widespread radical Christianity like we see radical. Islam today?

There needs to be a fundamental movement inside of Islam if anything is going to change. Western countries can't just start killing people and expect Terrorist to go away.
