I predict that in 5 years they will have the entire area downtown under the interstate looking just like New Orleans with all the hobos in tent communities.

A good bit of money downtown that is trying really hard to keep hobos away.

That is a frick ton of donuts.

Maybe they should bring them healthy food and then relocate them to a shelter

Pretty sure they just wanted a reason to expense donuts and break out the ATV's in this good weather. You don't even need an ATV to get there, it's a dirt road

At first I thought it was to look at the situation. Maybe the police like to keep them there and not other places. This gesture of goodwill lets the homeless know its okay for them to be there.

However, with all the problems in Baton Rouge and the number of people involved here seems like there may be better things for them to be doing.

But then again I doubt Top Golf wants the homeless to be hanging around outside its doors.

Drug/alcohol abuse. I think mental health is the primary reason for about a third of homelessness.

We have an incredible amount of resources locally, but most of the homeless choose the street because of restrictions on using or drinking.

How close is the closest neighborhood to the tent village? I would be slightly concerned about my kids if it's only a few hundred yards

They aren’t homeless. They’re hipster gutter punks. They have daddy AMEX and health insurance Incase of an emergency

They did the same thing on Scouts Island in City Park in NOLA a few years ago until they got ran off.
