Dang, some of yall started early early. I didn't know anything about sex till the 6th grade at the earliest. In the 7th grade I had two real pretty 8th grade girls come up to me and say, "We heard you had virgin ears." I worried/wondered about what kind of sex involved ears for a month. Finally asked my best friend what that meant. He told me it was because I didn't cuss. I was relieved.

We were introduced by friends. She went to a different school than me, so that was kind of cool as it introduced me to a whole different group of people.
She was nice and occasionally silly but also very serious about her education and her aspirations of becoming a doctor as her career. I was a doofus who didn’t take schooling too seriously, so we lasted about a year before she grew tired of my shenanigans and we amicably parted. It was fun though and she was always super friendly to me when we occasionally crossed paths over the last 30+ years.
She’s also a medical doctor in Montana now - so she achieved the goal she had in high school - and that’s pretty cool.

It was springtime. I remember touching hands . I wouldn’t have believed she’d come along. Touching me. Touching her. Good times never felt that good. Sweet Caroline. How I miss her. Weighs 2 lbs short of a Pontiac now, unfortunately.
