Exactly. And if I may have an offer I want now, why postpone the inevitable? Life is short.

5 pages of the Mississippi coast and no love for D'iberville?

I'm disappointed. There are some nice things going on,other than the walmart, by the 10- 110 interchange in D'iberville.

Sister is semi-retired and lives in Bay St Louis. We like to to go visit often, not too much to do but very relaxing change of pace and still only 30-45 minutes to Pat O'Briens.

A little too far west, unfortunately.

If d'Iberville is too far west, you should be asking about Jackson County only.

Using the interstate, D'iberville is 4 miles west of Ocean springs, and is closer to the highway. Probably could go east just as easy.

Is Pascagoula just really slow to travel through for some reason?

It's that Ingalls shipyard traffic, not fun at all.

I kind of like Ocean Springs.

But Google shows St Martin even further west than Ocean Springs?

St. Martin is directly north of OS, from Fort Bayou north to I-10. Gulf Hills is a nice, old secluded area on the edge of St Martin, five minutes from I-10. If you're five minutes from I-10, wherever you choose to live in Jxn County, interstate travel to the other highways/cities is a breeze. The speed of travel negates the distance if you're headed to East Central, Vancleave, or Geo County everyday for work.

That's what it would seem looking at a map, but Google is messing with my mind with these drive times.

It's really funny to see people from north of Hattiesburg say anything negative about the coast. I moved to the coast about a year ago and I love it. There is a decent amount of stuff to do, but there is no traffic.

Out of all the places the OP listed, I think Ocea Springs is the only one I would consider. Ocean Springs has a ton to offer. It is close enough to Biloxi and Gulfport to enjoy those areas too.

I would choose BSL, Ocean Springs, or Gulfport along the beach.

There's so much land for sale down there for cheap. Seems like it never came back after Katrina

If I don't make as much money as I want to, that's where I'll retire.

Always been that way, mainly due to the Coast's high concentration of Catholics and majority non-WASP people. I think it's funny that that mindset still persists today, but as long as it does, it keeps the illusion going and keeps northern hands in JXN out of our business.

We own a good amount of property down there. Did before the storm too. There are plenty of lots now, but taxes and insurance aren't very attractive right now.
