Is it worth joining? All Metairie people or do people from New Orleans go out here?

Great club in that area. I believe they draw most of their membership form Metairie and Lakeview. They have swimming and diving for kids and a tennis program. They just reecntly finished a remodel of their upstairs, and it's first class.

I think it's basically like a pool and tennis courts. I doubt many from New Orleans go there. I remember going to some birthday parties there as a kid. SYC has much nicer facilities if you don't play tennis or have a kid wanting to join a swim team.

I know people that go there and they love it. They seem to party a lot and have a good time.

Oh and they only have TWO tennis courts, TWO! That doesn't even qualify as a Country Club.

Not that expensive either...
You have to pay a $500 initiation fee and the dues are like $160 a quarter...
I like the laid back atmosphere of the place... They don't hound you for drinking beer in the pool....
Lots of Lakeview families belong...

that they call themselves a country club. It's a pool and two tennis courts.
