I don't know about police standing on the tracks. I do know they stacked flooded cars on top on each other at the parish line to prevent access from NOLA. As a resident of St Bernard at the time, I supported that decision.

The officers I speak of weren't STB deputies. There were leo from all across the state there. My friend spent two weeks working 12 hour shifts on those tracks. Your STB friend could've been sent anywhere.

My STB friend? It's my freaking brother.

The tracks aren't a line. The checkpoints were at Angela on both St. Claude and Judge Perez. Then on Paris Rd right where the Pearl Harbor memorial is now. The officers there actually rode out Rita in the 2nd story of the jail.

Why do you feel the need to be an arrogant prick? I capitulated that I misspoke when recalling a corroborated story from 12 fricking years ago and instead of being appreciative of someone admitting an innocent, inconsequential and irrelevant mistake on the internet, which in modern times is the equivalent of a unicorn swooping down and dropping a pot of gold on a leprechauns head, you instead use the opportunity to gloat and berate. You must be a small and insecure manchild to be sure.

They absolutely did. A friend who of mine who was part of the law enforcement help sent to assist during Katrina was tasked to that exact detail. 12 hour shifts and they stayed in the Jackson Barracks.

Tigerdew: With your right hand, take a firm grasp of your member, stretch it out in front of you parallel with the floor, now bend it down and around your perineum, while still maintaining a firm grasp place your index finger of the same hand on the tip of your member. Now push the tip past your buttocks and into your anus. For you it shouldnt take much force. Based on your posts I imagine that paths been walked.
Congratulations! Youre now fricking yourself.

Gloat and berate? Jeeze man, get a grip. You tried to spread a bullshite story that I have actual first hand knowledge of. Sorry that hurt your precious feelings, snowflake.

I don't know why people get so offended by the internet.

You say you had firsthand knowledge? You stated it was your brother. If he said it it would be firsthand. Youre relaying a story to me. The information is secondhand to me. This could end up being semantics but the story I told was also told to me by at least one person who was there.

Also, was your brother everywhere at all times during and after Katrina? If he was not then how can you discount or deny that an event occurred at a particular time at a particular place?

I actually dont have much in the way of feelings but I feel that when people get personal or engage in name calling it distracts from the debate or topic at hand. And yes, i realize I did the same in response. Dont care. Got my point across.

Well, I was down there with him all the time running him supplies to wherever he was.

You don't know STB very well. If there was some kind of road block team on the train tracks the entire department would know about it.

No body called you names or got personal. I said you have no idea. I'm 100% correct on that.

From the stories I was told I gather it occurred right before Katrina during evacuation.

I could see this but if it occurred during evacuation at the final hours before landfall many of the officers may have evacuated unless they were at 100% staffing right up until the final hours.

I was speaking in general not to you directly but it was more the attitude that came across of "Youre an idiot. Im smarter than you. You dont know shite. Youre a liar"(even though I was repeating a story I heard from more than one person none of who knew each other)

Oh and "snowflake". Which apparently is an insult these days.

STB officers weren't standing guard on the train tracks during the evacuation. They were busy transporting prisoners and directing traffic. The ones that stayed rode it out on the 2nd stories of the new and old jails and the govt complex. They set up checkpoints before the tracks as soon as the water went down later that week. Seems like you mashed up multiple Katrina stories here.

This. When we went back in afterwards, there were National Guard or some type of military personnel on I-10 in the East verifying that you had a home or business in da Parish or they wouldn't let you in (obvious looting percautions) regardless of the color of your skin.
