Respectfully have to disagree. The Hooper at Foster Development, subsidized housing at Shoe Creek, and my last visit to watch a Central High football home game tell me otherwise.
Those neighborhoods down Hooper are already hood but I guess we'll see. I haven't lived out there in a long time and neither does anyone in my family, but it would be sad since I grew up out there.
Neighborhoods like Sharon Hills were once awesome. We lived in Tanglewood until I was about 15 or so. Also was a great neighborhood for kids in the 80s.

I bet I know you. Regardless, Central is getting ghetto. I hate it.
I graduated from CHS in 96.

I think we covered this in another thread, but I grew up in Comite Hills. I spent my weekends at Family Billiards, looking for devil worshipers at the end of Frenchtown, and stocking shelves at the Winn Dixie when it was Hooper at Sullivan. I miss what Central once was.
You, me, and Taurus probably all know each other

I had a lot of friends in Comite Hills. When I was a kid I realized that area indeed did have rattlesnakes exploring the woods around there

The infestation of Zachary has already began, and unless Central holds firm in the future to there original charter we won’t be far behind. The whole Shoe Creek development lined the pockets of many of the politicians in power at the time, and the next election they all got voted out.
Hopefully, they put an end soon to the cookie cutter hoods, pull back to their original boundaries, and it’s at least delayed for awhile.

My dad still has a rental house in Central. He had 2 but finally sold one a few years ago so I don't go out there too often anymore. Sad to hear.
I'm like toosleaux though. Our kids are almost grown and out of the house. We'll most likely leave the BR metro after that.

That big development across from WalMart seems like it’s destined to be ghetto
I live there. It's not. The apartments are shite, but they're expensive as hell and they stay rented out.

In which aspects? There is not a goddamn thing to do in Central.

Ghetto my arse haha. If it turns ghetto it’ll be awhile. Stop being a drama queen

These feelings are a photocopy of the Central Rants & Raves facebook page. Sad that filth has leaked into the pristine waters of TD's O-T Lounge.

There’s really not unless you like parks
Blackwater has some nice trails

I mean do you want nothing to do or do you want development? Lol

Most people that live in places like Central want decent public schools for their kids and less crime than the inner city. Welcome to the suburbs of a mid sized city.

I’m no expert on Central but the correct answer to this is, yes, I want nothing to do. When you figure out that is the correct answer it will be too late and probably already is.
I do like me some Wade Holden though. Long live Wade.

I want just enough stuff where I don't need to go to BR

Things went downhill when they closed the Sonny’s pizza next to D&E imo
