I honestly have no self-reflection when it comes to how I look.

I'm short (5'7") so I'm always playing from behind though.

It results in me being loud and, at times, obnoxious I think. I try to be that "funny guy" to my own detriment.

This thread is fun.

Try being the only male with your surname who can still get married and have children. If I die without kids, I think my closest male relative with my last name is like a 6th cousin, as my great aunts and uncles so often remind me.

My mom likes to say she will be dead before she has grandchildren. When she says this, I just agree with her.

Yea, well, it doesn't mean much until your parents drop the subtle comment that they are wondering if you are gay since you've been single for so damn long.

That was fun.

Christy was infatuated with me 5 years after HS. Sure, we banged a few times 5 years before after we hooked up on the senior cruise, but we had parted ways amiably. After college I moved back home and our paths crossed again. We fricked at my friends party in the crawl space of his ranch house one night and went out afterwards to bust up mailboxes with aluminum bats. We kind of started dating but with no commitments. Over a month, she got crazy obsessive and bugged me to death. I lived with 3 other dudes in a house and we liked to do fun shite. Like play b-ball in the driveway until 2:00am and see who could take the most bamboo pole lashings over the back. shite that you don't want chicks fricking up by hanging around and being needy. One night I had this hot hound hostess from Chilis over at my place to bang after me and my boys had played Poker and Christy kept calling and asking if she could come over. I told her no...not tonight. We are doing guy shite and there are no girls here. She ended up coming over when I was fricking this other girl and started banging on my bedroom door. I was so pissed and got up and let her in and let her see this 18 year old hostess. I asked if she understood what "no" meant and she started crying. I told her she could stay and watch or GTFO. She actually laid on the floor beside my bed and just whimpered for a few hours the first hour of which I was eating this other girl out and railing her. I thought her dignity would make her leave but she just laid there whimpering until she finally left. I really just wanted her to cuss me out and storm away to make her hate me but she reacted different than I thought she would. We ended up getting engaged.

I have two brothers but they're technically halfies. One just got married at 41 and the other will be a perpetual bachelor (by choice) at 38.

The older folks in the family think this because I've only ever brought a female to an event once or twice, but my parents know exactly what's up.

You win. It wasn't until med school that that happened.

I also don't tell my family my personal business anyway so I guess that's my own fault.

Same here there are very few girls I've met over the years that I'm extremely interested in. I'm extremely private and it takes me a looooong time to get to know people and by then they've usually showed me a piece of themselves that is off putting. I have way too high expectations of people, especially with someone that I would let my guard down with. It's actually kind of funny that story you said about your neighbor, I find that the girls I'm most interested in are the quiet ones that don't even talk to me but I'll catch them staring at me from a distance. I can sense that they are interested but I don't feel like approaching them because I feel like they would get the impression that it's forced and I'm that I'm just trying to bang them or manipulate them. I know, I'm a puss, I'm weird, etc.

I have no clue what my extended family thinks. I would never bring a date I actually liked to one of our family get togethers. Our family is too big and the majority of them are mental.

to somewhat get back to OP, there are a good number of girls who did like me a lot that i didn't like a lot. now unlike most of these stories, i almost never banged them (at least the ones i did i didn't realize how much they did like me). i usually would do outlandish and crazy shite to get the girls to stop liking me

at THIS point there is so much family drama we don't even have big family get togethers anymore. it's like 4-5 smaller gatherings among the groups who like each other, so that issue is kind of solved

but traditionally, i'd ALWAYS get shite by my country family for not having a gf. like i mean at 20 they were grilling me about why i wasn't married with kids (b/c that's their culture and what they did). my nuclear family was always kind of outsider (we were "city folk") and i was like THE outsider

I dated a girl for about 4-5 months and she really liked me, probably loved me, and I felt really nothing towards her. I had tried to break it off after the first month or two, but she suckered me back in with the water works and I told her I would try. Part of my "nice guy" personality. Then, her mom passed away and I was supposed to be her pillar. Ended it a few weeks after that for good and haven't talked to her since.

She's messaged me a few times and sent Facebook messages, but I ignored them all.

Of note, she was a psychologist.
