Is anyone working on this or is it just a lost cause? Pop works for Delta and says I'm a dumbass and that it would put him out of work if it is invented. Just think about how much easier life would be if you could.

I agree. I hate having to drive to your mom's house.

Could happen via quantum entanglement.. But you are talking WAY far off into the future there.

Basically everytime I have a long drive to make I comment that everything will be so much easier when I invent teleportation. Not sure it'll ever be done on the level that would make day to day life easier but concepts could be used in space travel hopefully via worm holes.

Not looking it up, but if I remember correctly years ago they were successful at teleporting light.

I'm not losing my soul in one.

Even that isn't quite the same thing b/c you still have to have one particle travel to the destination the usual way.

True.. But in the pure sense of teleportation (getting from one place to another instantly) this is the only way it could happen.. Unless of course you have a wormhole. But wormholes are purely theoretical at this point, at least we've begun to entangle stuff

I can write a sentence on here from anywhere in the world or teleconference in from anywhere in the world.

Is that not teleportation? Although I'm not physically there, the knowledge I carry is. Why does it have to be my actual person if I convey that personality through tubes and wires.

All I'm saying is it's not like it is in the books and movies, but we are already there in certain aspects!

If someone can invent a teleportation device the unemployment rate would immediately go up over a point. Can you imagine the shipping possibilities??

Not necessarily. It still might cost way too much to compete with Fedex.
