I never got what this means.

It's a criminal offense, the DA presents charges, the ADA cuts a deal and bam slap on the wrist.

It's not like you get to choose the punishment for someone who wrongs you.

BPS don't play around. I saw jail time for trying to fish in one of those (with a 33 I bought from them I might add)

no but you can put pressure on the prosecutor and court to impose the maximum sentence possible. As opposed to some pretrial horse shite and light sentence.

agreed, if he takes the bait of a plea deal from the prosecutor he'll be blue around the gills when the reality of jail time sets in

I'm not nearly old enough to have a teenager (I don't have any kids), but what law are they breaking? I'm genuinely curious. It's definitely stupid, but I'm not sure it's against the law
