I had a meeting with Kenner Police Chief Glaser this morning concerning the terrible incident. I can provide the following: The perpetrator was a 16 yr old who resided on Platt, in a rental house, with his father. He had been to that house before and had some prior interactions with the couple at the Teton house. There was an altercation that he instigated with the couple and he took to violence with a hammer. He fled to Baton Rouge, got in a wreck, and has been arrested. He has confessed to the incident. Chief Glaser says he understands that the wife of the couple, although badly hurt, is expected to recover. However, her husband remains in critical condition.
