So there is still an element of mystery. Without knowing how this "matrix" works, we would still know just as little about creation than what we already know today.
Meaning, this thead doesn't help prove anything.

Doesn't bother me one way or the other. Whether my life is a simulation or real, it feels real to me and it's all I know, so I'll continue living my life that way.

Pretty much. But philosophers have been debating this forever in one way or another. Like I said prior, Kant said that knowledge of such a hyper reality would be our greatest pursuit. Nietzsche said it would be useless. Guess we can put you in the Nietzsche camp?

Well Its stilp fun to think about. No one cares that you like being ignorant because it feels good.

Not quite. I just dont think that virtual reality answers all of our questions unless we know exactly how it works

It's interesting to think about. I'm not disputing that, but I'll let other people try and figure it out.

I'm glad they're doing this, maybe now we can find some true resolution to the Berenstein/Berenstain Bears issue.

I don't want to leave the matrix for some poor destroyed planet.

I like the story but it's pretty long-winded. Reading is for nerds.

Any intelligence capable of creating such a simulation would have already considered this scenario, and may in fact be controlling it.
