Teaching is a thankless job. One profession that is grossly underpaid while helping shape the future. I get it, I worked on an inpt child psych unit and quit two months ago after 25 years b/c the system is completely broken and I simply was burned out.

I've had a couple co-workers take that route, and they've come back every time. I worked as a loan officer for half a year and hated it, so I returned to teaching.
