So some of you dudes actually "let" your wife do certain things? How generous of you.

4. Pay bills
I’m a wife, and I do both of these. Most of the bills are on auto-pay, so it’s mostly keeping track of finances.

Haha, my 5'0/100# self amd my SO carried one of those damn granite dining room tabletops down a flight of stairs when we moved. I'm strong, but I thought death was imminent.
LOL! I used to “let” her do things like that with me, but she messed up her back really badly once, so I said we’re having no more of this

AT, when I say "I pay the bills", everything is on auto-pay for me too, I just like to feel like I am contributing. He works hard, while I sit at a desk all day. Let me have this...
Hope your Saturday is great!

I wish I could get my SO to clean around the house. She usually keeps the kitchen clean, but rarely does she lift a full bag of trash out of the can. She lets mail addressed to her pile up. Her clothes form neat little piles.
And if I bring it up, she feels guilty, but agitated.

The same to you, Liz!
I’m about to sit down with a good book and a glass of Pinot, so the day’s about to get better. I hope yours is just as good.

Love all the men who don’t want their wives paying bills....but bitch about them spending too much money.
Maybe if you had the wife pay bills and be more aware of exactly where the money goes.....she would be more inclined to watch the spending.
I pay all the bills (at least ones that are joint).

It’s both their fault for having joint accounts and not separate. You avoid any disagreement or altercations with having separate accounts. That way, when you buy a $1500 purse or I spend $400 on a new golf club, it’s a moot point.

We don't share any accounts or money. I buy dinner, he buys dinner. I pay the mortgage, he gives me $. No way in hell I want to keep tabs on his spending. I don't shop, am a minimalist, an accountant and would probably use a spreadsheet to add up his expenses. We don't need that.

Chase app is so easy for us to send money to one another. I can just tell him I need x amount for the bills for the month and tap, tap on his phone and it is in my bank account.

Yeah, used it for ex-roomies to pay me rent. It works great. Hope you are great, nursie. When is "dad" time?

With them right now for lunch
Sipping on a margarita. Sucks I’m driving or I would have a second one.

I know, she wittinessed me doing drunken back flips in the casino atrium (old Catfish Town) one night. She tolerated me, with kindness and patience.

It can go both ways. What if a couple has kids? How do you budget for their expenses? What if the wife hands the bills and she pays her agreed bills and since she is the one going school shopping for the kids, etc she is paying for their expenses while the dad, after he pays his agreed part of the bills, goes out and buys useless shite and rarely uses his money on the kids?

I won’t let my wife touch my aquarium. They’re all exotic and valuable and if you upset the ph bad things could happen!
