After untangling a 100ft extention cord she crocheted together somehow, I’m adding rolling up extention cords to the list.
1. Weedeat
2. Start a fire
3. Cook gumbo or bbq
4. Pay bills

I rather weedeat than let her do it. She gets out there with flip flops and no glasses and thats at least a 1/2 roll of string gone. One time she decided she was going to weed eat with no glasses. I went out there to give her some, she got spooked and dropped the weedaeter on her toe.

I don't let her did any yard work, for 2 reasons.
1. She works full time and keeps my house clean and belly full.
2. I genuinely enjoy doing yard work.

Weedeat has to be #1. They are simply incapable.

This.
The things that “I don’t let my wife do” are things that I either enjoy doing or do as service to her, not because I think she’s not competent.
Yard work is the main thing. I guess I’m just old fashioned but I just feel like a married woman shouldn’t be cutting the grass unless the husband is deployed, disabled or sick. I also don’t let her put air in her tires or move things that are heavy.

He does the yard work, I pay the bills. We split the interior chores, meaning, if you see something that needs to be done, just fkn do it. He grills and handles the smoker, I cook the gumbos. It is a very easygoing split that is never discussed. We know our strengths.
