They've known this guy was black for a while. There's video.
They assumed he living in the Seminole Heights neighborhood but he didn't. That is what threw them off. His manager at McDonald's called police because he had a gun in his back pack and they matched it to the shell casings.

I hate that because he seems happy in that pic but more importantly, he actually had a job.
