Anyone else had to console a driver on one of these especially around Houston/Dallas? I just noticed one video with someone losing their mind and beginning to drive at a crawl. Pretty interesting to watch.

Just tell them not to think about it. And if they do, that they'll probably make a mistake and plunge to their death.

Every day, morons get scared to go up the grand parkway exit off I-10 in Katy. Even though they drove this ramp every day, they’re still worried they could fall off. So they stop and think about it a while and snarl traffic.

They terrify me. I don't like anything high, including bridges, buildings, etc.

But mountains never bother me.

and start driving at a crawl.

Run up and pull them out of their vehicle, show them that there are far worse thing to fear in life.

I wasn’t in the vehicle, I saw it as a video, but never thought about someone freaking out on one. Just wondering how common it might be.

You’ve never seen interchanges like the high five in Dallas?

I know the 5 exchanges have the most stacked, but are the actual highest?

For instance 310 @ 61 is only 4 high, but the first level roadway is built up just to keep it out the swamp. Don't think that one is more than the 117ft of the High 5 though.

Don’t know if they still do it but the State of Michigan used to have designated drivers for people who freaked out when they had to cross the I-75 bridge at Mackinaw City.

It was in the news a couple of years ago about people charging to drive tourists personal vehicles across major bridges like The Golden Gate and such. They were making pretty good cash in some cases.

But of course, the government put the kibosh on that.
